Children & Youth

Early childhood to adolescence is a time full of constant growth and development. Through these rapid changes, they may have difficulties verbalizing their struggles and their needs.

They may display behaviours such as:

  • Withdrawal, isolation

  • Aggression and anger

  • Fear and anxiety

  • Procrastination, lack of motivation

  • Difficulties with social relationships and connections

  • Troubles with focus and academic performance

  • Self-harming behaviours / suicidal ideation

Together with their caregivers, we can try to understand these behaviours and what the child or youth may need. Sometimes they may have undiagnosed neurodevelopmental concerns such as ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities.

Other times, they may be experiencing some struggles with their social settings and need support to learn skills in handling these life stresses.

I value working collaboratively with caregivers and to connect you more deeply with your child from an attachment point of view.
